On the website of the World Health Organisation you can find the current facts:
https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019
According to the assessment of the WHO, the Robert Koch Institute and the German authorities, the risk of infection with this new pathogen in Germany is very low. In reference to the information provided to date, there is no critical risk situation and therefore currently no need for restrictive measures at our trade fairs.
Deutsche Messe is in constant and close contact with the health authorities.
Recommendations and instructions from the authorities will be implemented.
Regardless of the current situation, Deutsche Messe AG already offers an above-average standard of hygiene, safety and medical care. This will now be further strengthened:
-As a precautionary measure, the cleaning measures in Hanover for heavily frequented areas such as entrances, door handles, escalator runs etc. will be increased compared to the already high standard
-Additional disinfectant dispensers are also positioned on the site.
-At large trade fairs, such as HANNOVER MESSE, several doctors and paramedics are available in our first aid station
-Employees of the rescue services are visibly on the move in the halls and are available to customers and visitors with advice and assistance in addition to the hostesses, security and service personnel deployed
-On all days of the event, a safety meeting with all safety organisations and safety authorities is held shortly before the event begins
-Deutsche Messe permanently has a well-established and proven emergency management system in place.
